The Kern Council of Governments (Kern COG) is developing the Kern Bicycle Plan and Complete Streets Recommendations project. The purpose of the plan is to develop a network of bicycle facilities that will provide better access to attractive destinations in the County including transit locations, schools and shopping destinations, and develop complete streets recommendations to include policies, best practices and design guidelines for Plan implementation. The Plan will also provide recommendations for improving and expanding the inventory of bicycle support facilities such as on-street bike parking, storage areas and bike racks accommodations on public transit.
Thank you for attending the Kern County Bike Plan public workshops. Your input is very important for the development of the Plan. Other public input opportunities will be made available throughout the development of the Plan. Information about public meetings will be posted on the Public Participation page.

In preparation for the Kern Bicycle Plan for the unincorporated parts of the County, the Kern County Council of Governments has prepared an online survey to help us better understand bicycling issues and opportunities in Kern County.
