Welcome to the Kern Bicycle Plan and Complete Streets Recommendations Website
The Kern Council of Governments (Kern COG) is developing the Kern Bicycle Plan and Complete Streets Recommendations project. The purpose of the plan is to develop a network of bicycle facilities that will provide better access to attractive destinations in the County including transit locations, schools and shopping destinations, and develop complete streets recommendations to include policies, best practices and design guidelines for Plan implementation. The Plan will also provide recommendations for improving and expanding the inventory of bicycle support facilities such as on-street bike parking, storage areas and bike racks accommodations on public transit.
Public Participation
Thank you for your input and comments on the Draft Report. The comment period is now closed. The Final Report will be issued in September 2012, so please check back soon.
